Licensed Psychologist
Therapeutic Services
We provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents and their families. Based on the needs of the family, we can determine the best approach. Therapeutic services typically involve individual and family therapy to address the main concerns and improve the health and wellness of the entire family. Dr. Patiño-Fernández uses approaches that research has shown work, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

Individual Therapy
Dr. Patiño-Fernández provides therapy to children, adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, loss, and behavioral difficulties. Given Dr. Patiño-Fernández' specialization in pediatric psychology, she also provides behavioral health therapy to youth with chronic illness and their families.

Parenting
Dr. Patiño-Fernández works with parents of young children and serves as a coach to guide them through difficult transitions, anxious times, and behavior problems. Parents learn skills and strategies to more effectively parent the way they want and in a manner that is consistent with their values.

School Collaboration
We work with school administrators, teachers, and parents to address the learning differences or behavioral problems that are affecting the student in the classroom. We work with teachers and parents to implement interventions and classroom management strategies to create a learning environment that supports your child's academic, emotional, and social success.
